Classify Security Group is seeking professional, reliable, and community-minded Security Guards to join our Downtown Patrol Team in Dauphin, Manitoba. This is an opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to creating a safer, more welcoming downtown for residents, businesses, and visitors.
As a Downtown Patrol Officer, you will be the face of community safety, working proactively to deter crime, assist vulnerable individuals, build positive relationships with the public, and respond to incidents with professionalism and compassion.
Position Details
Position: Downtown Patrol Security Guard
Location: Dauphin, Manitoba
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time & Casual Positions Available
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage (based on experience)
Responsibilities
* Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the downtown area.
* Provide a highly visible security presence to deter crime and disorder.
* Respond to incidents professionally and in accordance with company procedures.
* Assist members of the public, visitors, businesses, and community partners.
* Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
* Monitor suspicious activity and communicate with emergency services when required.
* Promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
* Work collaboratively with local businesses, community organizations, and first responders.
* Apply de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques when interacting with the public.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
* Valid Manitoba Security Guard Licence
* Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (asset)
* Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
* Naloxone Administration
* Mental Health First Aid
* Criminal Record Check
* Child Abuse Registry Check (asset)
* Trauma-Informed Care
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with training or experience in:
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Crisis Intervention
* De-escalation Techniques
* Strong observation and decision-making abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to walk and patrol outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
* Community Outreach
* Previous Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Public Safety experience
